Audio Works has become Winnipeg’s premier full service production company. The company provides audio, lighting, staging and backline equipment for rent, purchase and lease. Audio Works was started 11 years ago by Jimi Kinsman. The company was started with a specialized rack of processing equipment which has grown into a rental inventory worth over a million dollars. The equipment list now includes a vast wireless inventory, 2 large concert systems and many smaller systems and components to facilitate the ever growing client list. The company added lighting to it’s inventory and has recently added moving lights. Staging is a new addition along with a diverse backline division. The backline division includes drums, vintage guitar amps, keyboards and a B-3! All elements of production come with specialized technicians. Audio Works provides production equipment and technicians for corporate events, theatrical performances, school plays, religious events, political events, music concerts, festivals and touring productions. The services are as diverse as the client base. Equipment ranges from 60 channel mixing consoles, multiple wireless microphones and flown high power concert speaker systems. Large scale shows can include sound systems with over a 100,000 watts to be used at Grand Beach Classic Rock as well as systems with over 70 microphones for the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. The brands used are all industry high end products with a proven track record for sonic excellence and reliability. Audio Works mainstay is it’s rental division for live events. This division of the company has provided equipment for Grey Cup 2003, Disney Productions, The Prime Minister’s Office, Hudsons Bay 325th birthday bash, Get Together 2001,2002, Spirit Fest 2001, 2002, 2003 and Minnedosa Classic Rock Fest to name a few. Annual clients using Audio Works include Boo at the Zoo, The Winnipeg Childrens Festival, Teddy Bear Picnic, Festival of Lights, Folklorama, Icelandic Festival, Regina Exhibition, University of Manitoba and Red River Community College. At this point in time Audio Works has entered into contract with the Lyric Theatre. The nature of the contract is to supply concert sound for 30 events programmed by the Lyric as well as consulting and production management for larger scale events held at the theatre. As the Lyric is one of Winnipeg’s most prolific outdoor venues Audio Works looks forward to meet the demands of servicing their facility. As the future unfolds Audio Works continues to expand upon it’s inventory and technical skills to meet and exceed all new challenges. |
